Sauvignon Blanc/ Vouvray Flight  $8.00
Sauvion Vouvray
Together with Muscadet, Vouvray is the most popular Loire wine in the USA. It is the perfect introduction to the Loire wines: easy to drink, fresh, soft, "velvety". It is grown in Touraine amongst the hundreds of romantic châteaux.  Made from 100% Chenin Blanc, this Vouvray is complex, soft and round with honey and acacia on the nose.  Pale, almost clear, and translucent in color, this wine has a huge almond nose with hints of fruit blossoms and buttered toast. Crisp and big on the palate, it delivers loads of almond and rock candy flavors along with some apple notes. The flavors linger and there’s some almond on the finish. A textbook Vouvray, and definitely one of the stars of the individual tasting.

Chilensis Sauvignon Blanc Reserve
Sauvignon Blanc is a refreshingly crisp white wine that offers citrus and tropical fruit flavors with very aromatic notes of green chilies, grass, herbs, asparagus and gooseberries commonly contributing to the bouquet. Sauvignon Blanc is generally unaoked allowing the fruit to shine and highlighting the delicacy of the grape.
This is 100% Sauvignon Blanc. From Colchagua Valley. A fresh, clean Sauvignon Blanc brimming with pear, grapefruit and lemongrass flavors. A well balanced medium bodied wine with a crisp and refreshing finish.  Bright, refreshing and eminently drinkable.

Ladoucette Pouilly Fume
The largest and most famous Pouilly-Fumé vineyards have been in the hands of the Comte Lafond and Ladoucette families since 1787 when the Comte Lafond purchased the estate from the illegitimate daughter of the French king, Louis XV. The estate is now owned by Baron Patrick de Ladoucette, a descendant of the Comte Lafond, and Pouilly Fumé has earned a reputation as one of the world’s great white wines.  Robert Parker 91 points describes this wine “ ... at its best this wine achieves a superb combination
of textural richness and ripe fruit with pungent herbal-mineral shadings, and refreshing citrus. There is real lift in its persistent finish of perfumed herbs, fruit pits, chalk dust, and citrus zest.”

Mark Bredif Vouvray
Marc Brédif is owned and operated by the Baron de Ladoucette the same winemaker that produces Ladoucette Pouilly Fume. The key to any de Ladoucette wine is quality – in the vineyard, the winery and the bottle. The Baron de Ladoucette is dedicated to maintaining exceptionally high standards throughout his portfolio. The wines are made in the state-of-the art winery within the landmark Château du Nozet and are considered to be some of the finest examples of their type.  100% Chenin Blanc the color is pale gold yellow. Very intense and fruity nose with notes of white flowers and quince.  Subtle attack on the palette. Nice wine with fresh structure and aromatic finish.
Italy vs California Merlot Flights  $9.00
Copperridge Merlot
Copperridge wine is a special brand made by the Gallo Winery that is only available through restaurants.  This Merlot is a polished, fresh wine with lots of inviting raspberry and blackberry in the bouquet. Medium-bodied with velvety ripe plum flavored fruit, this wine has a nice hint of vanilla on the finish

Michael Sullberg Merlot
Traditionally, the Merlot grape has been used as a blending component in Cabernet Sauvignon. Americans, like their European contemporaries, have discovered the unique quality of California Merlot, a full bodied red wine with softer tannins that is quite enjoyable on its own.  This mouthwatering Merlot, aged in small French oak barrels, lends distinct aromatics of oak balanced with ample flavors of ripe cherries, blackberries and plum.  Right and full, it is a truly elegant wine from the nose to its long velvety finish.

Bigi Vipra Rossa
Bigi was founded by Luigi Bigi in 1880.  Today it is the leading winery in Orvieto with one of the busiest cellars. The name Vipra – local dialect for “viper” — was inspired by one of the most powerful noble families of the Middle Ages: Monaldeschi della Vipera.   Vipra Rossa has a deep, concentrated ruby-red color and the aroma of blackberry and spice. The taste is soft and balanced exhibiting great structure. A solid wine from Umbria that’s distinguished and rustic. The aromas and flavors of blackberry, leather and spice recall those of authentic Italian country wines. The depth and refinement of flavor are the touch of a master vintner.

Falesco Merlot
Awards:  87 Points Wine Spectator and 90 Points Wine Advocate.  The Falesco Winery, owned by the brothers Riccardo and Renzo Cotarella, both oenologists and deeply rooted in this territory between Lazio and Umbria regions, was established in Montefi ascone (Lazio, Viterbo province) in 1979. This territory had been famous for centuries for its outstanding wines, which were the privilege of the Roman aristocracy and the Popes.  This wine is the result of a selection of Merlot grapes with outstanding concentration and superior organoleptic quality with the contribution of excellent soils and a low yield per vine.  Falesco Merlot, which is aged for six months in small French oak barrels, has a very deep colour.  The scents are wide, rich, soft and spicy and the aromas are noble, well balanced and harmonious.  It reveals super-ripe dark fruit, chocolate, cassis, and blackberries on a warm, ample frame, showing notable intensity as well as vitality on the palate with an extremely long finish. It is another incredible value from Riccardo Cotarella.

Italian Award Winning Wines

Le Cupole Trinoro 2006
Red Blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot for Tuscany.   The 2006 Le Cupole di Trinoro is a surprisingly mid-weight, almost ethereal version of this wine. Ripe Fruit, Crushed Flowers, Sweet Spices and Licorice add complexity to the dark fruit as the wine opens up in the glass. Wine Advocate 90 points.
Passopisciaro 2007
92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The just-bottled 2007 Passopisciaro is a weightless yet powerful wine redolent of sweet candied cherries, flowers, herbs and minerals. The wine reveals lovely density and purity, even if a few days of rain towards the end of the growing season in November robbed it of the intensity that informs the very finest vintages. Still, there is gorgeous purity to the fruit that insures this will be fascinating wine to follow over the coming years. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2021. Andrea Franchetti wasn't content to just make profound wines at his Tuscan estate, Tentua di Trinoro, so he set out to replicate that success at Passopisciaro, his property on Mount Etna. These new releases are nothing less than breathtaking." (04/09)
